Description
The supermodels of the nineties were seen at all the authoritative fashion shows and continue to shape the scene today. Perfect faces, like flowers in their beauty, like a painting. The floral splendor of a Dutch still life sways in unison with the waves of hair and, despite its opulence, appears as if it had been “blotted” very lightly. In the “John Lennon Glasses” reflects a catwalk scene and combines the painting of old masters with modernity. The work is given metallic radiance and plasticity by the hand-cast resin.
Technique
Schramms artistic technique is digital painting, which she has developed into something unique with the knowledge gained from painting. The motif is printed onto a metal plate by means of a special, complex process, whereby a Coexistence between substrate and paint is created. The interplay between matt and shine makes the viewer literally feel the material and figurative and characterizes her impressive unique pieces. Symbolically, in order to preserve the ephemeral, this work was “weightily” framed in industrial iron.
